Hmmm ... it says that I too have an Inland North accent ... but I was born in south Arkansas and spent all my elementary school years living outside the US. My experience has shown that a persons accent is hard to change after age 12 or so ... (based on immigrants to the US who have and do not have vestiges of their native 'foreign' accents).
Maybe there is a 'US Standard' accent ...
Agree with John, Dick. I've lived in Southern California my entire life, and the %&@! quiz told me I sound like I'm from the Inland North.
